Synthesis Tutor is an AI math tutor for kids aged 5 to 11. It covers elementary math and nothing else. This page is a briefing from the company's site and from Trustpilot reviews, checked in October 2026. It is not a hands-on test.
What it is
Synthesis calls it "your child's personal math tutor." It covers "the standard K-5 math curriculum": counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and early algebra. The tutor adjusts to the kid's level as they go.
It runs on iPad, Android tablets and computers, including Chromebooks.
What it costs
- One child: $45 a month, or $300 a year.
- Family plan: listed at $119 a year. The page showed more than one figure for the family plan when we checked, so confirm the price at signup.
- Lifetime: $999 for one child.
- Free trial: seven days, no credit card.
What parents say
On Trustpilot, Synthesis had 4.4 out of 5 across 318 reviews in October 2026.
The praise that repeats is that kids come back to it unasked. Two reviewers put it this way: "I never had to remind them to log in," and "He asks daily (on his own)."
Two complaints repeat as well. One is novelty: "After a few weeks my child doesn't want to play with it." The other is pace. Some parents paid for a year and their kid finished the content in about three months.
Who it suits
A kid in kindergarten through fifth grade who needs math and likes a screen. It does not cover reading, science or writing.
Before you pay
- Use the seven-day trial and count how many days your kid opens it without being told.
- Start monthly. Switch to the annual plan only when you have seen your kid's pace.
- If you have two or more kids, check the family plan price at checkout before you pick a plan for one.
