This page covers this website. It is written for parents; the site is not meant to be used by children.
What we collect
When you press “Get the app” and send the form, we save:
- your email address;
- your child's age range, as one of five options;
- the lines you ticked under “Which sounds like you?”, and your own words if you chose “Something else”;
- the page you were on and whether you used an iPhone, an Android phone or a computer.
When you press “Get the app”, we also count the press, with the page and the kind of device. That count holds nothing about you.
We count visits with PostHog, an analytics service: which pages are opened, for how long and how far down they are read, the page or search that brought you here, your country, your browser and kind of device, presses of “Get the app”, which lines you tick under “Which sounds like you?”, and sent forms. Your email, your child's age and your own words are never sent to PostHog. To tell a return visit from a new one, PostHog keeps a random number in a cookie and in your browser's storage. It does not identify you, and clearing your browser removes it.
What we do not collect
- your child's name;
- your IP address. PostHog uses it to work out your country and does not keep it;
Please do not put your child's name, school or address in the “Something else” box.
Why we collect it
We use your email for one thing: to tell you the day Thonko is out. We use the rest to learn which families want it and on what devices. We do not sell or share any of it, and we do not send marketing email.
Where it is kept
Form entries and presses are kept in a database hosted by Neon in the United States. Visit counts are kept by PostHog in the European Union. The site runs on Railway.
How to remove your details
